The Rolling Calf + Pat Thomas at Wigmore Hall
The Rolling Calf is a black power trio led by vocalist Elaine Mitchener, with Jason Yarde on saxophone and electronics, and Neil Charles on double bass and electronics. For Wigmore Hall, they have invited special guest Pat Thomas (piano, electronics) to join their sonic explorations. The Rolling Calf performances combine texts by revolutionary African-Diasporic thinkers with collective electroacoustic improvisation to strike a new bridgehead for the black British avant garde.
